Accounting outsourcing in the Philippines continues to gain ground, with TOA Global opening its second Cebu office in the Cebu IT Park.
The new office occupies five floors in the new Skyrise 3B Tower and can accommodate 940 people, creating more opportunities for growing accounting firms to find the elite accountants, bookkeepers, and professionals they need.
This is TOA Global’s second office in Cebu since it expanded its operations here in 2019 after first setting up offices in Clark and Manila. This new business office in Cebu brings to 10 the total number of TOA Global offices across three continents.
“This is an amazing facility for our clients. Your team’s workspace in Cebu is world-class. We’ve opened this space and continue to grow because of you,” said TOA Global Founder Nick Sinclair.
Leading the way in the industry’s office space standards
Founder Nick Sinclair and Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Clements celebrated with the team at the opening of the new Cebu office for TOA Global.
All TOA Global clients can choose to have their offshore accounting team work in-office five days a week, fully remote, or on a flexible work arrangement.
The new Cebu office can accommodate 940 people in an open-plan production area with plenty of natural light, premium Haworth office chairs, and good acoustics. It also has spaces designed to support:
- Security: Door and elevator access controls and a comprehensive CCTV system.
- Collaboration: Meeting rooms, a boardroom, and hot desks.
- Learning: Training rooms for in-person learning sessions that clients can book.
- Wellbeing: A clinic, chillout rooms, massage chairs, kitchens with coffee machines, and lounge areas.
- Engagement: Billiards and table tennis equipment, and a karaoke or KTV room, where the team can unwind and sing after shift.
TOA Global’s new Cebu office in the Skyrise 3B Tower includes workspaces for more than 900 people, plus wellbeing amenities like chillout rooms, a clinic, massage chairs, and a KTV room.
What this new Cebu office opening represents
This new Cebu office for TOA Global shows how much our leaders value the accounting talent that’s in the community.
From May 2014 to May 2024, a total of 260 candidates in the Philippines earned the 10 highest scores in the highly competitive board exams for certified public accountants (CPAs).
Of this elite group, one out of every five top scorers (21.2%) graduated from a Cebu university.
Only about two percent of Philippine universities that offer accountancy programs are based in Cebu. Yet about four percent of CPA board passers each year, or 2,221 new CPAs in the last 10 years, come from universities in Cebu.
Access to experienced talent works best with an effective people strategy for accounting firms, which we’ve covered in a complimentary ebook, “A Decade of Lessons: Decoding the Accounting Talent Crisis.”
With support from dedicated talent in your offshore accounting team, you can have the additional capacity to expand your accounting firm’s service offerings, such as by offering fractional CFO services.
Since 2013, TOA Global has hired more than 4,160 accountants and other professionals to support the growth of 1,180+ international accounting firms.
