TOA Global is pleased to announce that Julia Smith has joined us as Chief Operating Officer (COO), a milestone in our growth as a global talent solutions business exclusively for the accounting industry.
“With 15 years of experience in chartered accounting, Julia possesses a profound understanding of our clients and employees, enabling her to navigate the intricacies of our industry with finesse,” Chief Executive Officer Craig Mansell said.
The appointment took effect on June 5.
“Julia’s extensive background in high growth and operationally complex multinational groups brings invaluable business acumen to our organisation.”

“In my experience working in professional accounting firms, you’re always trying to seek great talent. It’s not always easy to find. Sometimes people think, ‘Should I invite someone from another country into my team?’ Having done that successfully in my corporate roles, I can say that accounting firms can embrace this as well and have great success,” Julia said.
Julia is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant and a member of the Institute of Directors whose career includes 15 years in chartered accounting. Among the roles she has held are Principal for Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young, Head of Business Integration and COO at Westpac Banking Group NZ and Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer at Healthcare Holdings in New Zealand.
She has a highly accomplished background in strategy, corporate finance, risk management, stakeholder management, and business transformation.
Before joining TOA Global, Julia worked with CEOs and executive teams in Australia and New Zealand, as well as undertaken assignments in Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and the United States.

Julia is based in the TOA Global head office in Australia’s Gold Coast.
