“We started with Xero more than 10 years ago in my accounting firm. At the start, everyone was saying accountants wouldn’t be needed and technology is going to automate all that they do,” Nick said at a recent webinar on the key digital trends and opportunities for accountants, co-presented by TOA Global and Xero.
“But what we see happening is that accountants are moving up the value chain. They no longer need to do data entry because technology does that and they can do more meaningful work. It’s only going to get better for our industry as technology improves.”
Xero is a publicly listed provider of cloud accounting software that has been in the industry for 17 years now.
