Building Loyal Accounting Teams That Stay, Grow, and Deliver

TOA Global Sportsfest 2026

Leaders of accounting practices know how important it is to hold on to high-performing accounting professionals.

Those who have decided to add offshore talent to their teams are better off. With the right accounting talent provider, they can grow their business without being held back by a persistent talent shortage—and receive support for the talent retention program they’ve put in place.

At TOA Global, we wrapped up an annual Sportsfest in June 2026 that included 10 weeks of friendly competition, teamwork, and community-building.

Supports your firm’s talent retention program

“What makes you champions, what makes you winners this year,” Sharon Kay Antonio, TOA Global VP of Operations (ANZ) – PH, told awardees, “is that you’ve shown discipline in every move, strategy in every play, and resilience in overcoming obstacles.”

While 82 individuals and 14 teams received medals and prizes, Sportsfest had a much bigger circle of winners who support our clients across Australia and New Zealand.

Sportsfest provided our accounting professionals with opportunities to reconnect with passions beyond work and build stronger relationships with colleagues.

For our clients, it was valuable support for their talent retention program: a way to help team members rediscover and be rewarded for their athletic skills, like discipline, focusing on goals, and the ability to recover from temporary setbacks.

Engaged offshore accounting teams

“Basketball has always been something I enjoy,” wrote Gladys Icot, an accountant who played with the champion women’s basketball team in Cebu. “Being able to share that passion with my colleagues made the experience even more meaningful.”

“Events like Sportsfest are important because they bring people together beyond daily tasks, deadlines, and targets. More importantly, they remind us that behind every role and title is a person with unique talents, passions, and aspirations.”

Having engaged offshore accounting teams benefits your business in many ways, including:

High-performing accounting professionals

Bless Celine Bautista used her ability to focus—the same trait that serves her well in sorting out discrepancies and reconciling accounts as a Generalist Accountant —and emerged as the second runner-up in the Clark and Tarlac darts competition. She was the event’s only female winner.

“The biggest challenge was overcoming my fear and self-doubt as a first-time darts competitor…Competing against more experienced players was intimidating, but I focused on enjoying the moment and giving my best. Sportsfest taught me that I shouldn’t let fear stop me from trying new things, because sometimes we discover what we’re capable of only when we take the first step.”

High-performing accounting professionals like Gladys and Bless give TOA Global’s clients the benefit of experienced professionals who are dedicated to their business.

Since 2013, TOA Global has supported more than 1,200 clients, building loyal accounting teams that know and trust one another, solve problems smarter, and adapt to change faster, both on a game court and in their day-to-day work.

All TOA Global clients receive dedicated support not just in the recruitment process, but throughout their team’s stay—including access to a talent retention program that matches their interests and needs.
