Andrew is an SMSF accountant and has been a TOA Global team member for over seven years. During his time at TOA Global, Andrew has worked his way up to a leadership position as the head of a team working for a client in Melbourne, Australia.
What do you enjoy most about your role with your client?
As an SMSF accountant, I enjoy the flow of work and the process we have in place. We have four Filipinos on our team and the support we get from our client in Melbourne is great.
What valuable skills have you gained through the training programs at TOA Global and how have they helped you work towards your career goals? Have you had access to such career building before?
Being the team leader of the group working with the client, I received three days of leadership training in the past year from TOA Global, which was valuable in helping me handle any concerns and challenges faced by the team and ensure a healthy work-life balance.
What are some of the facilities you have access to at work that you find to be the most valuable?
The meeting and training rooms. As a team leader, I often use the well-equipped meeting rooms during my weekly catch ups with our manager in Melbourne.
What have your favourite experiences been with the client you’ve worked with?
To name a few, I value the training days the most, as well as showing the client around tourist spots in Manila, Pampanga, and other places where we can enjoy time outside of work.
In what ways do you feel you’ve grown since you became a TOA Global team member?
I have grown a lot professionally. I’ve learned how to deal with conflict and how to thrive in a competitive industry. I’ve also learned how to work towards the company’s goals and manage client needs. As a team leader, I’ve grown to understand how to best approach and handle concerns within the team.
What do you value the most about the team you work with?
I value their professionalism and their dedication to do their work.
What are your aspirations?
I look forward to growing further in my SMSF role.
What motivates and inspires you?
It is my family that motivates and inspires me to do my best work. I am happily married to a loving and caring wife and blessed with two sons.
What do you look forward to every day?
I enjoy simplicity in life. Seeing my family happy and healthy is what I always pray for and am thankful for each day. Just enjoying time with them is a gift.
What do you do in your spare time?
I am a music lover. I sing karaoke during my spare time with my wife and play the piano as well. I love playtime with our two sons, who are one and two years old. I also enjoy having family picnics in the park.
